Web design

Our Web design process is as follows:

1. We check that you have either registered a domain name or we register one through our domain name registration service.
2. We ask you to let us know of sites that you particularly like. This helps us understand the sort of 'look and feel' that you want
3. You send us pictures, graphics and initial text for the site. Don't worry if you do not have anything prepared, we can get on with the design without it and then add later.
4. We create several Web site design concepts (the number of concepts depends on your plan). These are images of what the site will look like, rather than working Web sites.
5. You decide which concept you would like to go for. We make minor tweaks and convert the concept into a Web page(s) and create a menu structure.
6. We create pages using your text and graphic content and upload to our Web server for your review.
7. Once you have 'accepted' the Web site we transfer it to the 'live' Web server.

We do our Web development using CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) formatting. This ensures that the design of the page is separate from the content which makes it easy to tweak the design (e.g. change a type face or font size throughout your site) and also makes the pages easier for search engines to index them.
